Nader the Enabler

by Paul Bartlett

During a recent interview with Chris Matthews, Ralph Nader left little doubt that he will again run for president as a third party candidate, thus ensuring the ascension of another neocon ideologue to the White House. With the complicit involvement of a Republican stacked Supreme Court, Nader has given this nation its darkest moment.

George W. Bush's legacy will include unprovoked aggression, the deaths of tens of thousands, corporate and military hegomony, massive borrowing and spending and debt, a failed foreign and domestic policy, turning our nation into an international pariah, further environmental degradation, the abandonment of science based solutions, and callously pitting citizen against fellow citizen in pursuit of the neocon agenda.

But Ralph Nader's legacy will be far worse. As the ultimate enabler, Ralph Nader's legacy will be that he was the person who visited this nightmare on us. Ralph Nader gave us George W. Bush.
